Harley Trikes USA Refund and Return Policy
 
1. General policy overview
At Harley Trikes USA, customer satisfaction is important. However, the purchase of a vehicle, including a trike, is a legally binding transaction once you sign the final purchase contract. Unlike other consumer goods, we are not legally obligated to accept returns or issue a refund simply due to a change of mind. Our policies regarding returns and refunds are detailed below for different types of products.
 
2. Trike and vehicle sales
  • No returns on final sale vehicles: Once you have signed the final purchase agreement and taken possession of the vehicle, the sale is considered final.
  • Contingent financing: If you took possession of a trike under a conditional financing agreement, and the financing is not ultimately approved, the purchase contract will be voided. In this event, you are required to return the trike, and we will return your down payment or trade-in. Any damage incurred while in your possession will be your responsibility.
  • Vehicle defects (Lemon Law): For new trikes, your purchase is covered by your state’s “Lemon Law,” which provides legal protection if the vehicle has a substantial factory defect that cannot be repaired after a reasonable number of attempts. The process for making a lemon law claim varies by state and requires documented repair attempts. We will work with you and the manufacturer to address any warranty-covered defects.
  • “As-is” sales: Used trikes and vehicles are often sold “as-is” without a warranty, unless specifically noted. The dealership is not responsible for any issues that arise after the purchase.
 
3. Deposits and special orders
  • Non-refundable deposits: Deposits for trikes, especially for special orders, are generally non-refundable. This is because the deposit secures the vehicle for you and takes it off the market for other potential buyers. If you cancel a special order for reasons other than our failure to deliver, you will forfeit your deposit.
  • Dealer inability to deliver: If we are unable to supply the agreed-upon trike at the agreed-upon price within a reasonable timeframe, you are entitled to a full refund of your deposit.
 
4. Parts, accessories, and apparel
  • Return period: For eligible parts, accessories, and apparel, we accept returns within 30 days of the original date of purchase, provided you have the original receipt.
  • Condition of items: All returned items must be in new, unused, and resalable condition with their original packaging and tags intact. Items must not show any signs of wear, installation, or damage.
  • Items not eligible for return: Due to safety, hygiene, or manufacturer policies, the following items are final sale and may not be returned:
    • Helmets
    • Undergarments
    • Electrical items
    • Painted parts
    • Special ordered products
    • Gift cards
    • Installed parts and accessories
    • Clearance items
  • Restocking fee: A restocking fee of up to 20% may be applied to the return of specially ordered items or certain parts, as they are not standard inventory.
  • Refund method: Refunds will be issued to the original form of payment. For cash purchases over a certain amount, a check may be issued from the dealership.
 
5. How to initiate a return
To initiate a return, please follow these steps:
  1. Bring the item(s) to our dealership location, along with your original receipt or proof of purchase.
  2. Ensure the item meets the conditions outlined in the “Parts, accessories, and apparel” section.
  3. Our staff will inspect the item and, if eligible, process your refund or exchange.
